This is the third annual conference of the association. The first two conferences were held at Hitotsubashi University, Tokyo, Japan on July 30-31, 2005 and at the University of Washington, Seattle, U. S. A. on July 29-30, 2006. Please go to the home pages of these two conferences for the programs and the papers presented.

Submission

Economists are invited to submit papers for presentation in the conference. Papers in all economics fields, either theoretical or empirical, and whether related to Asia-Pacific issues, are welcome. A few sessions for graduate students in doctoral programs are planned.

Please send the draft or an extended abstract of a paper, together with the e-mail addresses, affiliations, mailing addresses, phone and fax numbers of all co-authors, either via e-mail (highly preferred) or by regular mail, by February 1, 2007, to

Organizing a Session

Economists are also welcome to organize sessions in the conference. Each session will last for 2 hours, consisting of four papers (between three and five papers are possible), one chair (not necessarily the session organizer but preferably not one of the presenters or discussants), and the corresponding discussants. Please submit a proposal for one or two sessions to Professor Leonard Cheng by March 1, 2007. The proposal should provide an explanation of the theme and all papers to be presented, including the e-mail and postal addresses, affiliations, phone and fax numbers of the organizer, session chair, presenters, and discussants.

Final Version

Final versions for presentation of accepted papers will be due on June 1, 2007.

Registration

All participants have to register. Registration fee is US$160, or US$75 for full-time students. Participants from least developing countries will get a 50% discount on the registration fee.
